How to get to Chivasso

Last update 10 November 2022

Chivasso, some kilometres from Turin, is situated on the railway and motorway joint which connects the Piedmont chief town to Milan and Aosta Valley. It's a welcoming and dynamic municipality, rich in public displays and events, able to provide a wide range of utilities; it proves to be generous about its cultural supply, as well. Our town, place of birth of great painters such as Defendente Ferrari (1500) and Demetrio Cosola (1800), boasts ancient origins and came out to be distinguished for the heroic battle against the French troops during the siege in 1705.

In the historical centre, characterised by Medieval arcades, both the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption (1400), with its precious late gothic brickwork façade, and the Octagonal Tower, the last remainder of the mighty castle raised by Marquises of Monferrato in XII century, have been standing out. Beside our craftsmen and retailers' skill and kindness, we recommend such a lot of typical Canavese delicacies and the delectable small - seized cookies called "Nocciolini", whose only ingredients are: Piedmont nuts, sugar and egg white.

We're waiting for you.
